The Culture

Jamaican cuisine is a vibrant blend of flavors influenced by the island's diverse cultural heritage, including African, European, and Indian traditions. We are known for its bold spices and use of fresh, local ingredients. Signature dishes include jerk chicken or pork, seasoned with a fiery mix of Scotch bonnet peppers and allspice, as well as ackee and selfish, our national dish. Jamaican cuisine also highlights tropical fruits and beverages, with rum and fresh juices being popular choices.
